PEAK's "Play It Your Way" Update: Full Details
PEAK, one of 2025's most successful indie games, has just received a significant patch that is sure to delight its fanbase. This update not only introduces new options and fixes annoying bugs but also incorporates highly requested community changes. We're talking about PEAK's "Play It Your Way" update, which brings a host of exciting new features.
This free patch is already available on Steam; it is not a paid DLC.
The main new feature of PEAK's "Play It Your Way" update is Custom Expeditions. This allows players to create a game to their liking with their preferred modifiers, enabling and disabling dangers, damage types, and item appearances as they wish.
Players can also opt for a Mini Expedition (Mini Run), which only requires overcoming one biome on a map, making for a shorter playthrough.

Among the "highly requested" changes from players are those related to Campfires. With this update, the game will now automatically save progress when at a campfire, allowing players to exit and return to that exact spot. This save point will remain active until the objective is reached, the player loses, or a new game is started.
Furthermore, players can now stay at a campfire for as long as they wish without hunger increasing or the fog progressing, and the fire will not extinguish until the last scout leaves it.
Another intriguing addition is the "Zombie Phobia" mode. When activated, the game will alter the appearance of companions affected by fungi.
PEAK is a successful multiplayer "friendslop" indie title available exclusively for PC via Steam.
