What's New in Shenmue 3 Enhanced?
The primary focus of this new version is visual modernization and performance optimization.
A 4K texture resolution increase has been confirmed, which will bring greater detail to characters and environments. To optimize fluidity, support for DLSS and FSR upscaling technologies will be included, ensuring a stable frame rate without compromising visual quality on compatible hardware. Additionally, Shenmue 3 Enhanced will leverage modern storage drives to offer significantly reduced loading times compared to the 2019 version.
Other key improvements in Shenmue 3 Enhanced include:
- The addition of an option to skip cinematics and extended response times for Quick Time Events (QTEs).
- Niaowu city will feature a larger number of simultaneous Non-Player Characters (NPCs), enhancing the realism of the environment.
- The stamina system has been optionally modified for smoother player progression, accompanied by a simplified user interface (UX).
It's worth recalling that, upon its original release, Shenmue 3 garnered mixed reviews.
