Yildiz Congratulates Muharemovic on Leeds Move; Defender Thanks Sassuolo

Juventus sensation Kenan Yildiz extended his congratulations to his former teammate Tarik Muharemovic following the defender's transfer to Leeds United. Muharemovic, in turn, conveyed his heartfelt thanks to Sassuolo, stating, "It's difficult to find the words."

Leeds United officially announced Muharemovic's signing from Sassuolo on Friday. The transfer is reportedly valued at €40 million, with Juventus set to receive half of that amount due to a pre-existing 50% sell-on clause.

Yildiz's Reaction to Muharemovic's Leeds Transfer

Muharemovic spent several years with the Juventus NextGen squad before making the move to Sassuolo in 2014. During his tenure in Turin, he played alongside the emerging talent Yildiz, who has since become a prominent figure for Juventus.

Yildiz took to Instagram to react to Muharemovic's move to Leeds, affectionately referring to the Bosnia and Herzegovina international as "My brother."

Muharemovic, who represented Bosnia and Herzegovina at the World Cup after playing a role in Italy's elimination from the qualifying play-offs, shared a message on social media with Sassuolo fans after his transfer to Leeds was confirmed. He wrote, "There are moments when finding the words is really difficult. Today is one of those. After two fantastic years, full of emotions, it's time to say goodbye to Sassuolo."

Several Sassuolo players, including their star Domenico Berardi, commented on Muharemovic’s post with heart emojis.

Sassuolo has undergone significant changes this summer, with their director, Carnevali, moving to Juventus and coach Grosso being appointed by Fiorentina. Alberto Aquilani, a former midfielder for Liverpool, Roma, and Fiorentina, has been named Sassuolo's new coach for the 2026-27 season.
