Pauline Astier Signs with the New York Liberty
The New York Liberty have secured a promising young talent in Pauline Astier, who at just 24 years old, embodies the club's strategy of acquiring skilled players ready to make an immediate impact and grow into cornerstone players within the league.

Astier is coming off a strong 2025-2026 season with USK Prague, where she participated in 14 Euroleague games. During this period, she averaged 10.2 points, 5.6 assists, 3.2 rebounds, and 1.9 steals per game.
Hailing from Tarbes, Astier has already garnered significant accolades. In 2023, she was named Euroleague Women's Rising Star with Bourges. She also achieved success in 2022, winning the EuroCup and the French championship with Bourges, the same year she was recognized as the Best Young Player in the LFB (La Ligue Féminine de Basketball).
The Liberty are preparing for their historic 30th season, which kicks off at Barclays Center with a preseason game against the Indiana Fever on Saturday, April 25th. Their home opener is scheduled for Friday, May 8th, against the Connecticut Sun.
