Scottie Wilbekin Quits Fenerbahçe, Heads to Bayern Munich
Scottie Wilbekin is set to embark on a new chapter in his career. After more than a year sidelined by a torn ACL suffered at the start of the 2024/25 season, the American point guard officially departed Fenerbahçe this Monday. The Turkish club confirmed his exit via social media.
Wilbekin arrived in Istanbul in 2022 and quickly established himself as one of EuroLeague's premier point guards for two seasons. However, his momentum was severely halted by this major injury. During the 2025/26 season, he managed to participate in only six EuroLeague contests, averaging 7.7 points and 1.3 assists.
A New Destination Already Found?
Despite leaving Fenerbahçe, it appears Wilbekin's EuroLeague journey is far from over. According to various reports, he is expected to sign with Bayern Munich. This move would represent a significant reinforcement for the Bavarian club, especially as they prepare for the German championship playoffs, offering Wilbekin a fresh start.
