Veteran UFC commentator Joe Rogan has put forth an unconventional idea for the highly anticipated featherweight championship bout between Alexander Volkanovski and Movsar Evloev: hosting it at the White House.

Movsar Evloev recently secured a hard-fought victory over Lerone Murphy at UFC London. Following his impressive performance at the O2 Arena, Evloev is now widely considered a top contender for the UFC featherweight title, making a championship opportunity a logical next step in his career.

Current featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski has also indicated his readiness to face Evloev. 'The Great' is renowned for his willingness to take on any challenger, reinforcing his reputation as a true fighting champion.

Rogan envisions this high-stakes matchup as a marquee attraction for a hypothetical "UFC White House" event, believing it would significantly elevate the card.

Rogan's Vision for Volkanovski vs. Evloev

Discussing the potential bout on his "Fight Companion" podcast, Rogan expressed his admiration for Evloev's recent showing. "The Evloev thing was very impressive. The fact that he was able to stand with him was very impressive to me," Rogan commented. He then passionately advocated for the title fight: "I’m into (Volkanovski vs. Evloev). God, I hope so. It has to be, or something is terrible in the world."

Rogan went on to pitch the audacious White House concept, suggesting it would be an incredible spectacle. "White House lawn, let’s go. Give the man a couple of months off. We’re only in March, it’s in June. Come on, spice that card up, baby." He also acknowledged the significant pressure Evloev likely faces to finish fights with strikes, noting, "The pressure he must be getting to try and finish fights in strikes, and strike with people must be nuts."
