Natalia Diachkova: My Record Proves My ONE World Title Claim
Natalia Diachkova is confident that her track record speaks for itself as she prepares for another shot at Stella Hemetsberger's ONE Women's Strawweight Muay Thai World Title at ONE Fight Night 46. This event is scheduled to broadcast live on Friday, August 14th, from Bangkok's Lumpinee Stadium.
Diachkova, who earned a significant contract with ONE Championship after securing four consecutive wins, has added two more victories to her record since her initial title challenge. She contends that Hemetsberger's championship reign hasn't been truly tested, suggesting that the champion's previous wins, including two against Jackie Buntan, were more a reflection of her opponents' performances than her own dominance.
"I consulted with the best trainers in Russia and Thailand, and they all agreed it wasn't Stella who won, but rather Jackie who lost," Diachkova stated.
For her upcoming bout, Diachkova has focused on being prepared for any scenario over the course of five rounds, rather than aiming for a specific type of finish. She is confident that an opportunity to end the fight will arise naturally.
"I'm not fixated on a knockout, although I am mentally prepared for it. I'm ready to knock her out in the first, second, third, fourth, or fifth round. I definitely want to take her second belt as well," she added.
A victory for Diachkova would not only halt Hemetsberger's undefeated promotional record of 5-0 but also cost her one of the two world titles she holds. Diachkova's own ONE Championship record now stands at 6-1, with four finishes. She views this upcoming fight as the pivotal moment that will align her accomplishments with the recognition she believes she has rightfully earned.
