SNK Unveils Kenshiro for Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves at AnimeJapan 2026

On the opening day of AnimeJapan 2026, SNK surprised fans with the announcement of Kenshiro, the iconic protagonist from Hokuto no Ken (Fist of the North Star), as the final character for the second season of Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves. While SNK had previously hinted at Kenshiro's inclusion in January 2026, the new trailer offered a deeper look at the animated short and showcased the character's in-game appearance.

With Kenshiro's reveal at AnimeJapan 2026, SNK still needs to confirm the fifth character for Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves' second season. However, the Japanese developer might have already dropped hints about their identity, leaving speculation between Robert Garcia or Ryo Sakazaki.

Additionally, the production team for the new Hokuto no Ken anime adaptation unveiled the series' opening theme. Titled "Hallelujah," it will be performed by Alexandros, a band recognized for their work on the ending theme of the first Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway film.

• Blue Mary – Already Available: Although a recurring character in The King of Fighters, the development team has redesigned her to recapture her essence from the Fatal Fury saga. Her combat style leverages her "grappler" characteristics, utilizing the REV Accel system as a core mechanic for constant offensive pressure.
• Wolfgang Krauser – Launch April 2026: He is the antagonist of the second Fatal Fury installment. This character returns with a 3D visual recreation that aims to balance his various previous appearances. His design retains the Kaiser Wave as a central technique, respecting the character's massive scale.
• Kenshiro – Launch June 2026: This collaboration for Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves' second season brings the protagonist of Hokuto no Ken to fight in the streets of South Town.
