Movsar Evloev expressed willingness to fight Arman Tsarukyan if Tsarukyan drops to featherweight. Evloev, on the cusp of UFC gold, stated that the opponent selection is not up to him. He has consistently fought whoever the UFC assigned him throughout his career.
Evloev, preparing for his UFC 303 clash with Alexander Volkanovski for the featherweight title, addressed the possibility of facing Tsarukyan. He indicated that he would welcome such a matchup if the UFC decided to arrange it. "If Arman wants to come down to featherweight... it's my territory," Evloev commented. "It makes no difference who I fight. Make 145 and we’ll fight, if the UFC wants that fight, of course."
The lightweight division faces uncertainty with champion Justin Gaethje sidelined due to hand injuries until 2027. Tsarukyan has positioned himself as the top contender in that division.
