Zenless Zone Zero Version 3.1: Release Date, Banners, Events, Codes, and Collaboration Details

The adventures in New Eridu continue as the mystery of the 'Chain Killer' deepens in the upcoming version 3.1 of Zenless Zone Zero. Get ready to learn about its start date, character banners (or Tuning Pools), new events, codes for claiming Bangboos, and even a curious collaboration with another Hoyoverse title.

Zenless Zone Zero Version 3.1 Start Date

The update patch for the new version will be ready on Wednesday, July 29, 2026 (or the evening of Tuesday, July 28, depending on your time zone) and coincides with the game's second official anniversary.

Banners and New Characters

Two new S-Rank agents will debut: Remielle Dan (Anomalous, Lumiflux), available throughout version 3.1, and Sigrid (Attacker, Glacial), who will be available in the second half of the version.

Remielle is the first Lumiflux attribute agent, meaning her attack attribute changes based on the attribute of the next agent in the team. She can accumulate resources to enter a phase flow state, allowing her to continuously provide buffs to the entire team without occupying the battlefield. Upon accumulating the maximum resources, she descends and executes a powerful entry ultimate skill. The new Refraction reaction, exclusive to the Lumiflux attribute, transforms Anomaly accumulation into a potent final explosion.

Sigrid's gameplay revolves around the Sky Patrol spear stance, which activates every time she hits an enemy with her 'Wild Spear' skill. In this stance, you can hold the normal attack to execute alternating attacks while significantly increasing her Crit Rate for a duration.

In addition to Remielle, the first half of the version will feature the return of Aria (Anomalous, Ethereal). The second half will launch the 'Exclusive Replenishment' banner where you can choose between S-Rank agents Dialyn, Ukinami Yuzuha, Asaba Harumasa, and their respective Amplifiers.

In the new version, you can also obtain the S-Rank Bangboo Ariel.

New Summer Event and Permanent Game Mode

Version 3.1 will introduce a new permanent game mode to Zenless Zone Zero: The Maze Enigma: Operation Bagel.

In this game mode, you must venture into a Hollow to rescue Eus and find the Maze Carrot. As you play, you need to gather resources to increase your strength and, upon reaching the necessary level, safely evacuate within the time limit. Acquired resources can be invested in the research station's infrastructure to further enhance your capabilities.

Yes, it's an 'extraction' style game mode. The Maze Enigma will feature a seasonal system with continuous updates, share weekly progression with Hollow Zero, and offer exclusive rewards each season.

Among the limited-time events, the main one will be the summer event Summer Waves at the Breakwater. You'll need to clean up the beaches of the Dream Resort and manage a souvenir shop to get Lucy's swimsuit for free.

New Skins and Swimsuits

As mentioned, you can get Lucy's swimsuit by participating in the Summer Waves at the Breakwater event. Additionally, swimsuits for the new characters Remielle and Sigrid will be available for purchase in the shop.

A special skin for Remielle, "Moonlight Whispers," will also go on sale.

Second Anniversary Rewards

The arrival of version 3.1, titled 'The Long Goodbye,' coincides with Zenless Zone Zero's second anniversary celebration. To mark the occasion, you can get a free S-Rank character of your choice from Jane, No. 0: Anby, Hugo, Trigger, and Lucy (and you'll also receive their exclusive Amplifier!).

By logging in during the version, you will also receive a total of 1600 Bangboos as an anniversary reward. In the second half, the login event 'Grand Distribution "In Nah"!' will grant you 10 additional Encrypted Tapes.

Other login rewards in the version include two new Pyrois scenes, upgrade materials, and more.

Collaboration with Honkai Star Rail

The final major surprise from the presentation was the reveal of a collaboration between Zenless Zone Zero and another Hoyoverse title: Honkai Star Rail.

This collaboration is set to arrive late 2026. Not only will we see Honkai Star Rail characters in ZZZ, but one of the New Eridu Agents will take a trip on the Astral Express.
